Seminars

The EDC seminars include: Experience Sharing Seminars, Economic Outlook Seminars, Access Facilitation Seminars and Business Opportunity Seminars which avails participants of the centre the needed opportunity the build them up to become successful entrepreneurs.

Experience Sharing Seminars: Successful SME Owners share practical experiences on their life, and their starting and managing a venture as entrepreneurs in the region. They cite individual challenges faced and risks encountered, and how they mitigated them. The seminar holds every Friday by 1pm at the EDC seminar hall and it is open to the public too.

Access Facilitation Seminars: Professionals give overview of critical process areas for managing successful ventures such as CAC registration, Credit Facilitation, Taxation, Market Access etc., and answer practical issues or concern from aspiring entrepreneurs. The professionals demystifies these crucial areas, provide better understanding and how to take advantage of them in order to manage successful enterprises. The seminar holds every Friday by 1pm at the EDC seminar hall and it is open to the public too.

Business Opportunity Seminars: Provide overview of potential areas for commercial or social ventures for micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises within specific localities in South-South region and in-depth analysis of the activities, resources, challenges and risks associated with successfully managing these ventures. The seminar holds every Friday by 1pm at the EDC seminar hall and it is open to the public too.

Economic Outlook Seminars: The recent pronouncements in fiscal and monetary policies by the Federal Government and the Central Bank of Nigeria in response to global economic forces impacting on the dwindling prices of Crude Oil necessitated the introduction of the seminar serials which runs once in every quarter.
